Trump- Bernie Sanders equals Clinton- Bush very simply because both Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are perfect for magnetizing the most radical sentiment in the democratic party and the most radical sentiment in the republican party and insuring that that sentiment is gratified emotionally and then remains behaved and orderly inside the respective parties. If Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders really wanted to confront the political establishment, they would step outside of the two party system and confront the two party system for the oligarchy that it is. As is it right now, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are simply lining up the ducks to be served on a platter to Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton next spring. [Emphasis mine]
"Dennis Hastert is your classic Illinois politician: pure hypocrite, pure liar, pure scumbag, okay? Not only is he a classic Illinois politician, he is a classic American politician. He is a man with a sex scandal replacing another man with a sex scandal, whose prosecuting a man who had a sex scandal. And all these men with sex scandals are walking around beating their chests talking about how immoral Bill Clinton is with his sex scandal while they're busy keeping their own sex scandal in the closet. This is why Americans do not participate in the American political system at the rate that they do not, because they validly are of the belief that men like Dennis Hastert are in charge and they are the most weasel-y, underhanded, underlying, unreliable, lying individuals that this country has ever seen."
Put any politician's name in that title; they're all the same.
2012 – Will it be one of those years that stands out in the
annals of history? With the ever expanding and growing “Global
Awakening” one could imagine so.
For me it will be the year I took another look at what is REAL
important to me. Many thanks to modern medicine, a skilled doctor and
hospital staff, I was granted a bit more time to grace this Earth.
Life-threatening events tend to focus life's priorities. When it
comes to the blogosphere, specially when it comes to making comments
on gutless mundane blogs, one tends to learn what it means to NOT
cast pearls before swine.
So, without insulting anyone's intelligence too much, let me
offer, in the spirit of forgiveness and a prosperous New Year,
something Deepak Chopra said recently that everyone can understand, take to heart and work on. To quote:
Put simply, we are all individually “total individuals.” Together, we are a force that can harness a new societal integrity, with clear aligned interests, and choices that benefit the greater good rather than select individuals.
Well, that's Deepak's positive way of looking forward; not
something that I find many people doing. I've got an idea that the
Future's way of working things out shall not be in any way many
believe will happen.
Osama bin Laden rises from the grave to pronounce judgement upon YOU, Americans.
If you are interested in the vote, check out this: "Extending the Republican Police State" - With a whole lot of "bipartisan" (sell-out) Democratic help. This is how serious Barack Obama is about changing America: "Obama Signs Last-Minute Patriot Act Extension" - "The White House said Obama had signed the bill from Europe using an autopen machine that holds a pen and signs his actual signature. It is only used with proper authorization of the president."
The shameless, in-your-face hypocrisy of Barack Obama's sellout betrayal is breathtaking. In 2008 I told everyone he had set this country up for a big betrayal and was resoundly chastised and ridiculed for my efforts. It is reassuring today to see the emerging signs of vindication: Hooked on Hope by Dylan Ratigan where he shows the effects of the betrayal "Mr. Hopey Changey," to quote John Pilger (Welcome to the violent world of Mr. Hopey Changey), has effected on American society. Speaking from experience, the traumatic consequences of personal and family betrayal are profoundly long-lasting. Couple that with the fact that the betrayer is always faced with the never-ending need to justify the betrayal and loss of trust by MORE betrayal.
DYLAN: ... Hypocrisy watch. The gap between that which is said and that which is done, that which is promised and that which is delivered. Why are there so few of you?
GLENN: Well, I think hypocrisy has enabled -- let's look at it on a couple levels. First is just the domestic political level, where democrats criticize republicans for doing certain things when they're in power, then end upwhen they're in power doing exactly the same things that they criticized the republicans for, and vice versa.
I think one of the reasons why that that's so permitted is because this
loyalty that people have to their tribe means that they object only when
certain things are done by the other side, and not by their own side.
They're not applying consistent principles. What they're doing instead is
supporting anything their side does, and opposing what the other side
does. Just sort of a blind, partisan tribe loyalty.
DYLAN: Sort of like a religion.
GLENN: Yeah. It's religion, ...
And our bleak future:
DYLAN: Or, other vehicles. I look to the currency market and the bond
markets and the bond market -- for me, the ideal leverage to force this to
be dealt with would be a 50% drop in the dollar, a 20% spike in interest
rates, that would then force acknowledgement of the fact that the entire --
GLENN: That the entire apparatus is corrupted at its root and needs to be
basically uprooted and overhauled.
DYLAN: That's it.
GLENN: But what's remarkable about that -- and it really is remarkable --
that if that 2008 financial crisis did not accomplish that, it's hard to imagine
a level of disruption that would be sufficient to cause that to happen while
not engulfing everything in it's wake. I mean, you almost get convinced that
the only way they're going to acknowledge that something needs to be
fundamentally changed is by the time it's far too late. When the destruction
is so widespread that it's irreversible. And that would be on some levels
sweet justice for the people who are responsible. But the problem is it
would potentially suck up everyone else in it's wake. So, what you want to
do is find a vehicle, a method for changing it short of waiting for that to
happen. Because it does seem like that's inevitable, absent some change
and intervening cause.
This interview is well worth the time to read. It's an eye-opener! Hypocrisy Watch.
